In this weeks post I wanted to talk a little about building lasting and profitable relationships which will help build your business.
We will look at this topic from 2 different angles. One angle is from the standpoint of building relationships with people you bring into your business through traffic exchanges, safelist ads or what ever type of advertising you find effective. The other angle is through research. We will talk about the first this week and the second next week. Fair enough? Okay...here we go. There are a couple of key points to keep in mind when attempting to create more lasting and profitable relationships The first involves new info which creates value for the new prospect. The second envolves providing that info in a correct and friendly manner.
Here is what I suggest you do. Write down all of the benefits of your chosen product or program that create value for you or would create value for a potential business partner. Secondly, write down a list of value points about yourself that might set you above the rest as a mentor. Then call the individual on the phone and begin the friendship building process. You can do this by welcoming them to the program and letting them know you want to get to know them a little bit.
The way to do that which works best for me is something called FORM. F=Family, O=Occupation(what do they do for a living, what do they like most and what do they like least about current situation. R=Recreation (What type of hobbies they have) and M=Movtivation( Why they are looking at a possible home based business.) This will get your prospect talking about themselves and after all people love to talk about themselves. It will also help breakdown the natural barrier that a lot of people have toward people they do not know well. Hence you are developing a relationship or friendship.
Once you have created this atmosphere, you will have a general idea how your program can create value and benefits which will help them achieve what ever goals they have in mind. Once your prospect see’s the value and benefits of working with you, they will continue to be a part of an active team. If you take the things I have said here and apply them, you will notice your business will continue to grow and become more successful each month.
